Get to grips with the basics at our weekend footstool course. Led by Robin and Janneke this 2-day course will guide you through the process of upholstering your very own deep-buttoned footstool to take home at the end of the weekend. We will provide the frame, legs, and fillings - all you need to bring is yourself and 2 metres of upholstery fabric.

Our classes are small - 4-6 students taught by 2 professional upholsterers - so there will be plenty of support.

The next 2-day course is on 10-11 October, 10am-4.30pm.
It will take place at our west end workshop situated in Kodac Studios, 719a South Street.
The cost is £380 - this includes a locally-made frame, legs, and all filling materials (excluding 2 metres of upholstery fabric which you should bring with you).
Access: the workshop is up one flight of stairs and unfortunately there is no lift. There is a gender neutral toilet on the ground floor (one flight of stairs down from the workshop).
Booking is essential so please get in touch using the button below.

The course will take you through the process of upholstering a large, flat-topped footstool (90cm x 50cm).
You will learn how to safely use upholstery tools, how to layer filling materials, and how to attach top fabric.
Led by Robin and Janneke the class size will be small (4-6 students with 2 teachers) so there will be plenty of support.
The next block of classes will run on 3 consecutive Tuesday evenings (6pm - 9pm), starting on 22 September (22 September, 29 September, 6 October). It will take place at our west end workshop situated in Kodac Studios, 719a South Street.
The cost is £310 - this includes a locally-made frame, legs, and all filling materials (excluding 2 metres of upholstery fabric which you should bring with you).
Access: the workshop is up one flight of stairs and unfortunately there is no lift. There is a gender neutral toilet on the ground floor (one flight of stairs down from the workshop).
